Irish Heart Foundation Courses
The IHF Course, an ideal course for healthcare professionals, teachers, childcare practitioners, fitness trainers or anyone interested in learning CPR/AED. Alongside gaining CPR and AED skills you will be shown how to recognise and treat choking in all age groups. No prior medical experience is needed, making it accessible to wide audience. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an Irish heart foundation E-Certificate which is valid for 2 years and this comes directly from the Irish Heart Foundation. This Certification is recognised nationwide, enhancing your credibility and preparedness in emergency situations.


Irish Heart Foundation (IHF) Heartsaver AED Course
Course Overview: •The Heartsaver AED Course covers essential techniques related to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and relief of choking for adults, children, and infants. •The course follows a practice-while-watching video format, led by instructors who provide feedback and guide participants through lessons. You’ll practice CPR techniques on a manikin. Course Options: •Full Course: Approximately 3 hours to complete. •Adult Portion Only: Covers adult CPR and AED use, completed in 2 hours. Certification: •Participants demonstrating high-quality CPR receive an IHF/AHA Heartsaver AED course completion card. •Certification is valid for 2 years. Basic Life Support (BLS) Course
Target Audience: •Tailored for healthcare providers and professionals who require advanced training in emergency cardiovascular care. •Specifically designed for medical, para-medical, and allied healthcare professionals. Skills Taught: •Adult and pediatric CPR, including two-rescuer scenarios. •Use of a bag-valve mask (BVM) and barrier devices. •Management of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO). •Proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Assessments: •Participants are evaluated through: •Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ): Written assessment. •Practical Skills Testing: Demonstrating high-quality CPR techniques. Course Duration: •Approximately 4 hours to complete. Certification: •Participants receive an E-Cert via email on the day of the course. •Certification is issued by the Irish Heart Foundation and is valid for 2 years.
